Brief History

SM KENKO SAUNA CORPORATION’s Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws were duly approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission on 5th JUNE 1998, with the issuance of Certificate of Incorporation (SEC Ref. No A1997-23793) and began operating July 18, 1998.

As a tourist-oriented establishment, SM Kenko Sauna Corporation, has complied with the requirements prescribed by the Department of Tourism and was granted accreditation no. SPA-029-2007, valid until 31st of December 2008, as a spa pursuant to the provisions of Executive Order No. 120 and the rules and regulations promulgated by the Department of Tourism.

Situated at the 5th and 6th Floors of Jipang Building, Networld Hotel, SM Kenko occupies 1,650 square meters of floor space owned and managed by KYM Property Development Group, Inc.

The spa also has the first Japanese Hot Hydrojet Pool and Japanese Dry Sauna in the country with temperature settings at Japanese standards.

Hilot Experience authentic Philippine massage where you can bask in the caressing touch of our therapists, gently settling the muscles, and tenderly awaking nerve endings… An experience that is most relaxing…transporting one’s mind and body to the comforting, rocking hands of a mother.

Dagdagay Dagdagay is a 70-minute treatment, originally from the Mountain Province, which uses two sticks to stimulate the soles’ nerve endings for better blood circulation and to restore optimum health. It includes a relaxing hilot leg massage. The process begins with a soothing 10-minute foot soak of ginger and kamias which serves as disinfectant.

Damong Maria Bentosa Bentosa is a primeval vacuum therapy derived from the Chinese and practiced by many cultures in the world. Damong Maria or Maidenwort is burned and cupped to stimulate the nervous system, activates and balances blood flow and circulation, dissipates cold spots in the body, removes toxins and restores the body to a balanced state.
